Bunyips
Bunyips under Construction
When we made the prototype Bunyip we expected that the major interest would be in the plans and kits. To our surprise we have received requests for finished boats.

This has been a good thing as we have been able to refine the building process, particularly the glassing and finishing, which will save both time and money. These boats are destined to go to summer camps with the expected paddlers young people who otherwise could spend their time horse riding or bush walking. Whether they will be used for expeditions or competitions remains to be seen, but we look forward to some videos of them in use.

When we introduced the Bunyips (after many requests) we expected them to be competition boats. After all, if you have two boats to share, a regatta could be organized amongst local schools, for instance, who have access to a small area of water. Group paddling is a very social activity and it could form an integral part of any sports programme. However, we have received responses from people who see the boats in a group expedition role. Camping and traveling. The light weight of the boats makes them very portable and the construction method is very robust. We look forward to the first Bunyip Expedition Trip.
Bunyip in 10 mins or less
Here is another interesting time lapse of the construction to top coating the outside of the bunyip hulls.
Another interesting glimpse into the fact that its easier to build a boat than to paint!
