The Wooden Boat Centre does not manufacture kits as such. With our modern computer technology and CNC cutting we are able to prepare for the building process any boat to any stage. This emphasizes our conviction that every potential builder should choose to build their ideal boat, not have to choose from someone else's preferences.
So, once that important choice of boat is made we can digitize the plans, cut patterns and molds, even planks for clinker planking to a high degree of accuracy. With our "finger joint" system that replaces scarfing for ever, there is no restriction to the length of the boat and there is perfect alignment.
The cost of this services is more that covered by the more efficient use of materials and the radically reduced time it takes to build the boat.
